Equiteq is pleased to announce that it has advised private equity fund August Equity and cybersecurity solutions firm Integrity360 on the acquisition of Caretower, an established security services specialist.
Caretower will become a company of Irish-headquartered Integrity360, a cybersecurity solutions leader that secured financial backing from August Equity in June 2021 as part of a significant growth and expansion plan aimed at building the brand internationally.
Founded in 1998 and based in London, Caretower offers managed security services, penetration testing, security consultancy and managed incident response services, working with an array of vendors including Microsoft, Sophos, Kaspersky, Check Point, Forcepoint, Barracuda Networks among others. For the 2021 calendar year, Caretower reported sales of circa £28m and operates from offices in London and Sofia, Bulgaria.
Caretower aligns to Integrity360’s strategy to further expand both in the UK and Europe to become a leader in the European cyber security market. All of Caretower’s employees will remain with the group. The enhanced group reports expected sales to exceed £70m in 2022.
In a statement by the company, Ian Brown, Executive Chairman at Integrity360 commented, “This is a very exciting transaction for us and we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome the team from Caretower to Integrity360. The enhanced group is now clearly positioned as the leading independent cybersecurity services specialist throughout the UK and Ireland. With over 300 employees including 200 cybersecurity engineers, analysts, consultants and specialists, the group provides a one stop shop for business organizations for all their cybersecurity needs.”
Jerome Glynn-Smith, Managing Director at Equiteq added: “We’re very pleased to have advised August Equity and the experienced team at Integrity360 to come together with high quality UK cybersecurity specialist Caretower. This creates a significant player of scale and differentiated cybersecurity managed solutions for the European region.”
